Hello Everyone,

I like tradition, and well June happens to hold a tradition for the event food.

The June event usually tends to fall on our Tavern Keep's Birthday, and well who wants to cook for 50+ hungry people on their birthday, so June is the month that we have our Pot Luck feast.

Its Simple:

1) Bring Food to contribute to the feast
2) Eat Food from others (and your own if you trust it)
3) Bring much needed relief to a normally overworked Tavern Keep - Who this month is enjoying her last event before stepping up on plot.

Lets make this pot luck a good one, after all there is an in game celebration this month. Bring food, but be prepared to actually prepare it, the tavern keep is not working this weekend so if you bring food that needs preparing, either bribe someone to prepare it for you or make sure you have some time to prepare it yourself.

Brad

Ok, here is what we have so far.

Ishva13 - Spam Musubi
Brad - Grill and food item yet to be determined
Shannon and Wade - Sausage, onion, peppers
Siege - Ice Cream Sundays
Lord Dawntracker - Bread and butter
Wade - Pub Drinks
Dustin the Red - A food Item I think... though the name does make me question the tastyness.

I would suggest to everyone that we post what we're planning on bringing so there's different things at the event and not 50 items that are the same.

All,

As people decide what they would like to bring I will edit the original post with a list. I will try to catch what is on the Facebook page as well.

I do not believe anyone has decided on bringing cake yet. If you want to bring a cake that would be great.

Brad is going to bring a small grill and Wade and I will be bringing a few types of sausages to grill up with onions and peppers. We'll have enough for everyone.
If everybody brings their dish to feed 8 or 10 and everyone who participates brings a dish then we shall have more than enough food for a great town feast.
~thanks Brad for continuing tradition :)

Cake? Good. THE Cake? Not so good, though mostly for minors.

Faulker if you don't mind I was wanting to make some bread and bring up some butter and honey. If you still want bread duty that's fine, I'll just bring a few boxes of candy bars from Sam's Club

Well as much fun as it sounds, and trust me i was going to come out, i decided to shatter my upper left arm into about 6 pieces last week. Just got out of the hospital today and figured i would say hi. If you dont mind, and if someone drives me up there, i might come to say hi around dinner time (and possibly steal some of your food.

Warning people on a graveyard shift might not have the most coherent responses during the day.

You know, I was JUST considering doing that myself, but now I'll just look like a wannabe... Seriously though, that sounds unpleasent... I call upon the Earth to restore your limbs?

:) well it sounds like at least a few of us plan to participate and eat.
The oven is not yet working so we will have to make the best of things. Please let those you know who will be attending the event know about the food situation (no tavern, pub only and saturday potluck)

Put me down for baked beans and a grill to heat them on.

I'm assuming we have enough plates and utensils?

I will also be making Onigiri, a Japanese dish (rice balls with cooked Salmon or other things stuffed inside and wrapped in seaweed). I'm not sure how many I will be making and I'm thinking that this just might be food for me to snack on till the feast Saturday night. If people are interested in me making a lot of these please post (I'm assuming Sarr and Otter Scavenger's will be interested in this dish).

I can tell you who's NOT interested: A young mage who's seen more undead in his life than , well, not undead. *looks out window, sees 2 green dots bobbing in the darkness of night throws a Harm Undead down and chuckles as they explode* Anyway, IF I'm going, and that's an IF Monkey goes and IF he's kinda enough to bring me, I can once again bring eggs IF someone is willing to prepare them. IF I post IF much more I'm pretty someone will hurt me...

I think I can speak as an expert in saying that salmon has no correlation at all to undead. In fact, undead salmon would be distressing. cuz they should just be dead. and in my tummy. *nod nod*

marcus - I would love to at least try the salmon stuffed rice balls, it sounds neat.

And - on the topic of food, we be bringing meatballs, a cocktail shrimp platter (cuz its kitsby and I gotta have seafood in there somewhere), and Faulker's got a sweet apple dip

Gimme Salmon!

I decided that a large crock pot would be better to cook the beans in.

I will bring the pot, the beans and the grill, as there always seems to be too little grill space when we use them.
